3 - 2 week sessions of farm camp will be led by Jennifer Stuart who has over twenty years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and has attachment parented/homeschooled/unschooled her daughter (now 15).

Farmer Marie will tell us about what is involved in running the farm and be sure that we follow all farm safety rules. She will check in on us as she goes about her busy farm day, but will not be directly involved in daily activities. Jennifer may have visitors with specific knowledge come and talk – she will let you know as these are scheduled.

Come join the fun on the farm! Gather some eggs, harvest some veggies, learn what lives at the edge of the pond and much more. Participants will spend our mornings exploring, collecting and documenting what we discover on the farm utilizing photos, drawings, collage and other artistic means along with discussion, reading, songs and acting. This is a project based learning environment where the children will inspire the course of the day through their interests and suggestions.

The program is targeted to ages 4 through 10. There is a minimum of five children and a maximum of ten for each session so tell your friends, but sign up quickly!

Camp will be held in two week sessions (except the first session which is 2 ½ weeks) from 9:00AM-12:00PM each day. On the last Friday of each session there will be a family potluck/farm fresh lunch so plan to stay a bit later. Otherwise, lunch is on your own. Your child should bring a simple snack and a re-fillable water bottle. A big cooler of water will available. Sturdy, closed toe shoes are required for safety. FARM CAMP will provide all natural essential oil based insect spray. Activities will be in the shade as much as possible so a good slathering of sunscreen at home ought to last through the morning.

3- Sessions:
June 16-20 + June 23-27 + June 30-July2 (2 ½ weeks – off on July 3-4) $375
2. July 7-11 + July 14-18 $300
3. July 21-25 + July 28-August 1 $300
Special – all 6 ½ weeks for $975 (1 week free)
50% deposit due on enrollment, remainder on first day of session. You

may pay in full in advance if you prefer. Credit cards accepted.

Register here.

If there is sufficient interest, FARM CAMP can meet in August also.  Let us know!

*Eden's Organic Garden Center & Eden's Garden CSA Farm are delighted to host this event!

Farm Camp is held independently of Eden's Garden CSA Farm and Eden's Organic Garden Center.

Herb Walk - Wild Medicinal "Weed" Walk at the Farm

Saturday, June 21st 11am start time

We have the honor to host Clinton Pierce of Clintons Healing Herbs of Hutchinson, KS. I was introduced to him via a woman who met him at a recent health fair here in DFW. Clinton uses herbs for various remedies and will introduce us to a wide range of uses for herbs and plants growing naturally and how to "wildcraft" those found and collect them for your use.

Watch for more details coming soon!

What to bring:

Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots (the farm may be muddy if it rains).  Bring a canvas bag to collect edibles as we walk, your own bowl and utensils to enjoy a wild green salad we will create from our bounty, and a camera if you'd like to photo the edibles we discover! Rain or shine so bring rain gear/umbrella if it looks like we'll get some blessed rain that late in June! :)

Weekday Farm Tours!

Teaching others about small local farming and personal nutrition is one of our passions here at Eden's. We feel that education is important in helping people strive to live healthier more fully independent lives.

Bring your group to Eden's Garden CSA Farm for an educational  farm tour experience and learn about sustainable farming/gardening, food preparation, farm animals' place on the farm, take a scenic walk to see our honey bees, and stay for a special extended unit on honey bees or earthworms (Extra unit optional.).

One of our farmers will guide you around the farm for an interactive tour. Get up close with chickens, roosters, sheep, livestock guard dogs and horses; observe a working farm with guided tour of the gardens, bee hives, chicken coops, and horse barn.

Pack a picnic lunch and eat under the old oak trees and enjoy an afternoon away from the city - just down the road.

$100 minimum
