CSA MEMBERSHIP

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is for those committed members who pay a 12-month membership fee for a weekly supply of seasonal produce from our farm. This helps cover our operation costs for seed, organic fertilizers, fuel, equipment, labor, greenhouse supplies, etc. We plan and work throughout the year to provide our members with an equal share of produce on a weekly basis. The share of produce is available for pick-up every week during the growing season. There are some breaks during the summer and late winter, but our goal is to provide 32 weeks of produce throughout the year.

WHAT WILL MEMBERS RECEIVE?

It is our goal to provide a share of fresh, chemical free vegetables and herbs each week that will generally supply a normal family of 4; although we do realize not all of our members fit this mold.  Some couples without children may choose to share their box with another couple or single person or “adopt” someone less fortunate to share your share with.  Our members generally enjoy vegetables and are open to trying new things.  Our farm will grow many varieties each season, however, production is always dependent upon the weather.  Our goal is to deliver seasonal produce as many weeks of the year as the weather will allow.

Our Proposed harvest schedule;

Fall (Oct.-Dec.) peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, beans, squash, zucchini, green tomatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squash, kale, mustard greens, Asian greens, lettuce, baby salad mix, collards, herbs… Lots of greens!!!

*Winter Break (Jan-Feb) We will harvest from the garden as long as the weather allows, but look for a break of a few weeks once ole’ man winter arrives.

Spring (Mar.-April) lettuce, baby greens, radish, beets, turnips, kale, chard, peas, spinach, cabbage, broccoli, potatoes, herbs, mustard greens, Asian greens, potatoes, cucumbers, squash, herbs… Lots of greens!!!

Summer (May-July) cucumbers, beans, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, okra, eggplant, melons, watermelons, herbs…

Late Summer Break (Aug-Sept) We will take a 6-8 week dog days of summer break depending upon the weather. We take this time to prepare for the fall.

During the breaks, we will continue to offer value added products through our co-op and the twice a month market days.  Items include fresh baked products, meats, cheeses, etc.

WHAT IS THE COST?

The annual membership cost base is $1200 year.  Members may pay in three payments of $400 due Dec. 1st, April 1st and Aug. 1st.  At this time, we do not have drop off points but will visit this option as we receive feedback.  An additional fee will be charged for delivery if drop off points are added.

NO refunds are available; however, you can cancel at anytime, or transfer your share to a friend.

WHAT IF I'M OUT OF TOWN ONE WEEK?

Let us know so that we can provide your share for one of our food bank recipients, or you can find someone who is able to take your share. The garden still grows and we still need to harvest.  If you so choose, any shares not picked-up will be donated in your name.

WAITING LIST

Each season is planned in advanced and there is limited space available. Membership is available first-come, first-served until we are full. If farm membership is full at the time you send your Application & Membership Fee, we can return your check or hold it for the first available space. The waiting list may be for up to 6-12 months depending upon the season. No checks will be accepted without the completed application form.

MEMBERSHIP EXTRAS

We work with other locals to supply our members with a variety of quality natural products. One farm can only supply so much. That's why we network with other family farms that are committed to the highest standards in producing their food and goods. We coordinate with these farms offering our membership a larger selection of local food throughout the year.  Eden’s also hosts a twice monthly market day where you can find local artisans as well as farmers, ranchers and producers of value added items such as canned jams, jellies, peppers, sauces, etc.  Our CSA members will receive an email periodically updating them with a farm report, a list of what is being harvested, a list of what's coming soon, recipes and cooking tips with Chef David Gilbert and other news we think you might find interesting.
